CBD Capsules vs. CBD Oil
A naturally occurring substance found in cannabis, cannabidiol has been shown to be a hugely beneficial natural supplement that can help with relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety and to relieve pain. There are also many studies currently being performed on using CBD to help treat multiple sclerosis, cancer and a range of other health problems.
Generally speaking, the chemical is available in either capsules or oil form. Therefore, it is important to look at the difference between CBD capsules and CBD oil to determine which is the preferred method for taking cannabidiol.
Sometimes referred to as hemp oil, CBD oil is a pure oil extracted from the cannabis plant. Depending on the particular strain of cannabis used, the total amount of CBD in this type of hemp oil is usually somewhere around 40%.
The capsules also tend to contain around the same percentage of this beneficial substance. However, instead of containing oil, these tend to contain a powdered form of the psychotropic part of the plant. Still, there actually aren’t that many differences between the two forms on a basic chemical level.
Nonetheless, there is a huge difference in terms of ease of use. The problem with the oil is that it is highly concentrated. It normally only takes a few small drops under the tongue to achieve the full desired effects. Unfortunately, it can be incredibly easy to take too much of the oil and it only takes a few drops too many to potentially cause a range of unpleasant side effects due to the strength of the oil. Even if none of the side effects are dangerous, they can still be unpleasant.
For this reason, most people tend to prefer using CBD capsules as they are much easier to dose. In fact, you won’t even need to worry about dosing since each capsule contains an exact amount of the substance. This eliminates the problems with taking too much and in general makes the capsule a much more convenient option. Simply take one or two capsules before you eat to enjoy the full effects without having to worry about accidentally taking too much.
